6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Steele! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko misses with a hook. Steele ducked under it nicely. Emelianenko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Steele misses with a right hand and Emelianenko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A cross from Steele lands. Emelianenko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Emelianenko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steele. Steele misses with a hook
and Emelianenko counters with a nice right hand that sends Steele toppling to the canvas! Steele scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Emelianenko finish him?!
It looks like Jason Steele has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steele keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Emelianenko. Steele lands a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Steele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Steele swings and misses with a shot to the body and Emelianenko counters with a crisp right hand that drops Steele! Emelianenko lets Steele back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Steele listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Emelianenko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Emelianenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Emelianenko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Steele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Emelianenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Emelianenko appears to be looking for a big counter. Jason Steele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emelianenko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Steele sees it coming and avoids it easily. Steele takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Emelianenko drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Steele moves into range and clinches up with Emelianenko. Emelianenko breaks from the clinch.
Steele thuds a left hand into Emelianenko's body. Emelianenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Steele moves into the clinch. Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Steele closes the distance and clinches. Emelianenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Emelianenko swings for the body but Steele moves out of range.
Steele looks to land a left hand but Emelianenko moved out of range nicely. Emelianenko avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Steele moves into the clinch successfully.
Emelianenko prevents a body shot from Steele. Steele fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steele misses with a hook from the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Steele throws an elbow but misses. Steele lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Emelianenko backwards. Emelianenko blocks a body shot from Steele. Steele misses with a hook to the ribs.
Emelianenko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Emelianenko breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steele swings for the body but Emelianenko moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Emelianenko misses the target. Steele uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Emelianenko.
Emelianenko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Steele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Emelianenko moves away. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steele misses with a body shot.
Emelianenko appears to be looking for a big counter. Steele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Emelianenko doesn't seem bothered though. Emelianenko drops Steele with a beautiful combination! Steele stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Emelianenko is looking for the KO!
Steele is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gattsu Emelianenko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jason Steele's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
