Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Dirt (ranked 6582 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewens Hulk (ranked 9841 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Dirt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ewens Hulk! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hulk doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dirt counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dirt moves in looking to clinch but Hulk pushes him off. Dirt wants to clinch. Dirt drives through with a takedown into Hulk's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fighters are working up against the cage. Hulk manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Hulk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dirt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hulk fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hulk or perhaps it was just good defense by Dirt, which made it look bad. Dirt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hulk quickly recovers to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hulk wants to improve his position but Dirt is controlling well.
Hulk controlling the position well. Dirt tries to pass to full mount but Hulk defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hulk wants to get back to full guard. Hulk keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hulk tries to roll over but Dirt keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dirt wants to stand up but Hulk has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hulk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hulk tries to get to full guard but Dirt has control of the leg. Dirt is trying to control the action in half guard but Hulk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hulk tries to sprawl but Dirt drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hulk looking for submissions off his back. Dirt wants to stand up but Hulk is controlling the position.
Hulk is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dirt scores with a couple of nice shots. Hulk won't allow Dirt to pass to mount. Hulk is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hulk keeps trying to improve his position. Hulk is not content to let Dirt control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hulk regains full guard. Nicely done. Hulk throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dirt being controlled here momentarily. Hulk is continuing to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hulk wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Dirt will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dirt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dirt with the ground and pound but Hulk uses the opportunity to regain guard. Dirt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hulk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hulk looking for a sweep. Not yet Hulk, not yet. Dirt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hulk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ewens Hulk has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dirt wants to stand and escape but instead Hulk has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Hulk throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hulk slips nicely into half guard. Dirt is looking for a sweep. Hulk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dirt is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hulk jumps into side control! Dirt is trying to get back to half guard. Hulk lands an elbow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hulk decides to stand back up. Hulk steps back and let's Dirt get back to his feet. Dirt doesn't manage to clinch there - Hulk circles away.
Dirt closes the distance looking to clinch and Hulk counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dirt! Dirt is looking to get back to his feet here but Hulk is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dirt's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hulk looking to break Dirt's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dirt remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hulk will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dirt staying busy and making it hard for Hulk to control. Hulk keeps control of the position easily here as Dirt tries to buck him off.
Hulk gets his hands free as Dirt looks to control. Dirt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hulk on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hulk has the hooks in. Dirt is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Dirt covers up after that shot from Hulk.
I would not like to be Dirt right now.
Hulk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dirt trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Hulk working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Dirt is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Hulk has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Dirt taps out!
