Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Rocha (ranked 8847 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Mac (ranked 6452 p4p, 0 weight class). Zach Mac has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pierre Rocha's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Rocha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zach Mac! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rocha decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mac's guard. Mac pushes Rocha off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Mac lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rocha circles away quickly and effectively. Mac misses with a combination
and Rocha counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rocha sitting in guard here, content to control. Mac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rocha. Rocha sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rocha missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rocha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rocha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rocha postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rocha throws a big right hand that misses. Rocha stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mac thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rocha if he has to take too many more of those.

Mac misses with a double jab
and Rocha counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rocha could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rocha is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mac is working an open guard so Rocha takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rocha shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rocha slips a jab and a cross from Mac.
Rocha half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Mac falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rocha counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rocha is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A short left from Rocha.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac breaks from the clinch.
Zach Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mac throws a combination that misses and Rocha counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rocha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rocha is keen to just control but Mac is a slippery customer. Rocha not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rocha throwing shots but Mac is blocking nicely. Rocha slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocha has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rocha is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mac has managed to free his arm - good work.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mac fails to land with a series of punches.
Rocha is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mac sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rocha doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mac misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pierre Rocha will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mac jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rocha takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mac lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Mac connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rocha. Rocha circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Mac throws a right hand that Rocha ducks under and follows up with a left that Rocha also avoids with ease. Mac throws a combination. Rocha tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Mac misses with a body punch
and Rocha counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rocha thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mac's head. Mac pushes Rocha off looking to stand but Rocha dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rocha performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mac is trying to stand.
Rocha controlling the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mac is trying to stand.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mac scores with a kick to the body.
A punch combination from Mac misses. Rocha is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mac. Danga de danga de dang - Mac scores with a four punch combination! Zach Mac seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rocha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rocha tries for a takedown but Mac circles away easily and Mac counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mac tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rocha was well out of range. Poor timing from Mac. Mac misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac avoids the body shot from Rocha.
Mac misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mac works over Rocha's head and body with a nice combination.
Rocha is rocked! A big right followed by a crushing left from Mac knocks Rocha out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Zach Mac!
