Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luther Jones (ranked 779 p4p, 109 weight class) and Edson Ribeiro (ranked 410 p4p, 59 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Edson Ribeiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ribeiro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jones lands with a straight right. Ribeiro didn't see that one coming.
Jones drives through and clinches with Ribeiro against the cage.
Ribeiro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Ribeiro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ribeiro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Jones clinches up against the cage.
A body shot lands from Ribeiro.
Jones can't find room to land a body shot as Ribeiro controls the action.
Jones lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ribeiro lands with a right to the head.
Ribeiro struggles to land a body shot inside as Jones controls his hands.
Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Ribeiro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Ribeiro pushes him off.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at Gizmo's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Luther Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ribeiro goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Ribeiro uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ribeiro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jones swings away with an uppercut that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ribeiro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jones uses from the top position.

Edson Ribeiro decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
