Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pernar Nexhip (ranked 5949 p4p, 704 weight class) and Daniel Jones (ranked 25343 p4p, 874 weight class). Jones has chosen Codeine Cowboy - 2 Chainz as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pernar Nexhip! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Jones! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nexhip takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nexhip closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nexhip eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nexhip forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. Jones misses with a hook from the clinch. Nexhip lands with a right to the head. Nexhip is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks. Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle. Nexhip swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it. Nexhip lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nexhip has him pressed against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Nexhip.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nexhip blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nexhip breaks the clinch.
Nexhip misses with a takedown attempt and Nexhip takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nexhip. Jones swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pernar Nexhip. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nexhip drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Nexhip misses with the head strike.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nexhip lands an uppercut. Jones tries to break free but Nexhip pushes him back against the cage. A short left from Nexhip. Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jones has Nexhip pressed against the cage, preventing Nexhip from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jones blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Nexhip misses with some punches.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Nexhip has him pressed against the cage. Nexhip lands on the inside with an uppercut. Nexhip lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Nexhip pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nexhip rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Nexhip breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nexhip clinches with his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nexhip swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it. Nexhip looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nexhip breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nexhip closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones decides to pull guard. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nexhip defends well. Nexhip wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is trying to control the position but Nexhip postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nexhip showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones working for a triangle but Nexhip defends it easily.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nexhip gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Nexhip counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nexhip dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Jones has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Pernar Nexhip! Daniel Jones was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm disappointed in myself. But it is what it is. He was the better man tonight. I gotta train harder next time. Sink or swim and looks like i sunk. Thank you for coming out tonight and supporting me and this event.
