The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobrov lands a big head kick that sends Maxwell tumbling to the mat! Bobrov takes a step backwards and waves Maxwell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Maxwell is rocked!
It looks like Lyman Maxwell has been cut.
Bobrov slaps away a takedown attempt from Maxwell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Oh Maxwell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maxwell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maxwell seems to have got his legs back now.

Bobrov lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Maxwell.

Bobrov tries to circle away but Maxwell has him pinned against the cage.

Maxwell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A frustrated look appears on Bobrov's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Maxwell keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bobrov's efforts to push away.

Bobrov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Maxwell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Maxwell lands a good elbow from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maxwell tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Maxwell pulls Bobrov in close to his closed guard and prevents Bobrov from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bobrov throws a head kick that misses
and Maxwell counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Maxwell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maxwell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikita Bobrov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lyman Maxwell's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Maxwell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maxwell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bobrov defends it nicely.
Bobrov connects with a nice looking jab.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maxwell takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bobrov lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Maxwell crumples to the floor! Bobrov milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

A very excited looking Nikita Bobrov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
