Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baron Geisler (ranked 4822 p4p, 610 weight class) and Josh Lucas (ranked 4724 p4p, 600 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baron Geisler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Lucas! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geisler has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lucas finds it's way round the side to connect with Geisler's head. Lucas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lucas thows a left - swing and a miss! Geisler is looking for a counter combo. Lucas blocks a jab. Lucas misses with a left hand and Geisler counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Geisler throws a hook but Lucas blocks it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lucas! But no joy. Geisler connects with a body shot. Lucas throws a hook to the side of Geisler's head but Geisler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A little feinted left hand from Geisler on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Lucas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Geisler.
Geisler throws a big counter combination but Lucas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lucas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Geisler seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Geisler lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Sloppy strikes from Geisler. Those never looked like landing. Geisler throws a right and a left that both miss. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lucas! But no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Geisler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lucas moves away. Geisler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Geisler misses with a combination

Lucas ducks under a wild hook from Geisler. It seemed like Lucas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Geisler takes one to the side of the head.

Geisler seems to have got his legs back now. Lucas throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Geisler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lucas.
Lucas staying out of range there. Geisler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lucas cracks Geisler with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Lucas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Geisler. A big right from Geisler misses. Lucas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Geisler had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Lucas throws a poor cross that misses
and Geisler counters with a series of strikes. Lucas will be more careful next time no doubt. Lucas swings for the body but Geisler moves out of range.
Geisler takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lucas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A telegraphed right hand from Lucas misses the target. Geisler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A close round but Josh Lucas will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Geisler slips under a jab. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Geisler might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Lucas misses with a hook. Geisler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A jab lands there for Geisler. Lucas misses with a straight left. Lucas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Geisler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lucas scrambles back to his feet.

Josh Lucas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Lucas walks straight into a right hand from Geisler - that's dropped him! Geisler jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lucas from any more punishment! Lucas complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
