Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Palentine (ranked 3495 p4p, 338 weight class) and Brandon Lee (ranked 4118 p4p, 392 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brandon Lee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Lee! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fails with the takedown and Palentine counters with a nice leg kick. Lee takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lee misses with an uppercut. Palentine saw that one coming. Some wild striking there from Palentine.
Lee throws a jab when Palentine was well out of range. Lee fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee ducks under a wild hook from Palentine. Lee walks forward, straight into a front kick from Palentine. Palentine throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Palentine closes the distance but Lee moves to the side and Lee counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Palentine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it. Palentine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lee swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Palentine leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lee throws a chopping leg kick but Palentine manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Palentine misses with a looping left. Lee takes a swing at Palentine's ribcage but misses. Palentine throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee defending well as Palentine loads up on a big left hand. Lee doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Palentine, which made it look bad. Palentine looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Palentine scores with a jab. Palentine misses with a series of wild punches.

It looked like Palentine was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lee.

Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bobby Palentine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee dives in and scores a takedown into Palentine's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee content to stall in guard here. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Palentine sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A head kick misses from Lee. Bobby Palentine is winning the standup battle so far. Lee misses with a leg kick and Palentine counters with a left and a right that stings Lee. Palentine lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Lee blocks a leg kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lee! But no joy. Lee looking to score a takedown here. Palentine is defending well but Lee drives through and ends up in Palentine's guard. Lee wants to control from the top but Palentine keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Palentine's guard. Lee wants to control but Palentine is keeping him busy. Palentine tries to kick Lee off but Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Palentine is just riding it out for now. Lee eventually gives up the hold. Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bobby Palentine will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee throws a head kick that misses and Palentine counters with a two punch combo. Palentine fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lee. Palentine leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice body punch from Palentine. Palentine on the wrong end of a nice hook. Lee dives in for a single leg takedown but Palentine sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
