Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michale Valdez (ranked 7683 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Merde (ranked 6347 p4p, 731 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michale Valdez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Merde! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Merde jabs Valdez right on the nose. Valdez blinks but takes it well. Merde scores with a jab. Valdez acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Valdez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Merde closes the distance and clinches. Valdez manages to break the clinch.
Merde swats away the attempt to clinch by Valdez. Valdez ducks right into an uppercut from Merde. Valdez goes for a double leg but Merde avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Merde continues to drive forward. Merde lands with a nice body punch. Merde cracks Valdez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Merde has Valdez up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Merde wants to break free but Valdez has control.
A short right from Merde. Merde pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valdez wants to clinch. Some wild striking there from Merde.
Merde stuffs the takedown attempt from Valdez. Valdez gets slowly back to his feet. Merde will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Merde scores with a punch to the head. Merde instigates a clinch. Merde lands with a light punch inside. Merde effectively controlling the action here. Merde has had enough of the clinch but Valdez keeps him there for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valdez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Merde misses with a double jab.
Valdez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Merde circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michale Valdez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Valdez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Merde has closed the distance and engaged Valdez in a clinch.
Merde lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Valdez backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Merde is trying to break the clinch but Valdez is controlling him. Merde has had enough of the clinch but Valdez keeps him there for the moment. Merde is trying to break free. Valdez manages to break the clinch.
Merde keeps the fight on the outside. Merde is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Valdez with a body shot. Valdez has Merde up against the cage in a clinch.
Merde throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Valdez blocks it with crossed arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Merde is trying to push Valdez away but Valdez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Valdez breaks the clinch.
A left and a right from Merde both land. Nice combination. Valdez tries to keep at a distance but Merde has taken the fight into the clinch. Merde has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Valdez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Merde has him pressed against the cage. Merde tries to break the clinch but Valdez is controlling the position. Merde has Valdez pressed against the cage, preventing Valdez from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Merde lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Valdez backwards.
It looks like Michale Valdez has been cut. Merde pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A combination from Merde does no damage. Valdez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. A lazy left from Merde finds it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Merde. Merde moves into the clinch. Valdez stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Merde lands with a left to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Merde lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Valdez is rocked! Merde lands a hook to the side of the head. Oh Valdez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Valdez prevents Merde from breaking the clinch. Merde manages to break the clinch.
Merde lands a jab to the nose. Merde connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Valdez tumbling to the canvas! Merde pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Valdez was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fred Merde! Fred Merde spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
