Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Ruiz (ranked 9459 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mao Leow (ranked 6734 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejandro Ruiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz throws a sloppy head kick and Leow moves out of range easily.
Leow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Leow lands with a kick to the temple. Ruiz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Ruiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Leow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Ruiz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ruiz trying to control the action but Leow is working from the bottom.

Leow is trying to get back to half guard.
Ruiz is looking to take a break and control but Leow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ruiz controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ruiz decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Leow has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ruiz has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Ruiz 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Leow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ruiz jumps into guard, dragging Leow to the mat.

Leow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ruiz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Leow has managed to get both his arms back between Ruiz 's legs - danger averted.

Ruiz throws his legs up looking for a submission but Leow uses it to pass to side control.

Ruiz is looking to regain half guard here but Leow keeps moving and retains side control.

Leow decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Leow shoots in but Ruiz avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruiz is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ruiz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leow manages to get himself to full guard.

Leow lands with an uppercut that bounces Ruiz off the cage and back into range.
Ruiz takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Alejandro Ruiz has been cut.
Ruiz tries to clinch but Leow is having none of it.
Leow throws a nice inside leg kick.
Alejandro Ruiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ruiz misses with a takedown attempt - Leow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Leow tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ruiz just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ruiz is trying to push Leow away but Leow has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Leow throws a knee to the head but misses.
Leow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Ruiz will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Leow up against the cage.

Leow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Leow has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ruiz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Leow is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ruiz pulls down on the head and he's put Leow to sleep! This one is all over!
