Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Reid (ranked 6649 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grey Vincent (ranked 25735 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geraldo Reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grey Vincent! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vincent napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reid tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Vincent is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Reid has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Reid gets a takedown into half guard. Reid sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vincent defending well though. Reid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vincent is just riding it out for now. Reid eventually gives up the hold. Vincent has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reid is working away from the top position though. Vincent is defending against the submission attempts here by Reid.

Vincent might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Reid haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vincent throws a sloppy head kick and Reid moves out of range easily. Reid half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Reid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Reid closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vincent did well to prevent Reid getting side control. Reid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vincent doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reid. Reid is working for a kimura but Vincent is defending it quite comfortably.

Reid gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Vincent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vincent doesn't manage to clinch there - Reid circles away.

Reid is thwarting Vincent's attempts to control the position. Reid not landing any meaningful shots this time. Reid is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Vincent is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Reid's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Reid's back! Reid is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Vincent gets his way!
Vincent is trying to stick to Reid's back but Reid is turning into Vincent. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Vincent's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Reid.
And that's the end of the fight! Geraldo Reid showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
