The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nabouca shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bray is doing well to control the position and prevent Nabouca from advancing to side control.
Nabouca seems to be working for a kimura but Bray defends the submission attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nabouca in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nabouca feints and as Bray raises his hands in defense, Nabouca changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bray has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Nabouca is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Bray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bray shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Nabouca is looking to control Bray's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nabouca avoid being mounted?
Nabouca is looking for a sweep. Bray is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nabouca wants to control the action here but instead Bray manages to pass to full mount!

BOOM! Bray connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
