Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Atreyu-Ex's and oh's. Bullard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wrecking Ball. Ewen Davis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Bullard!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davis uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Davis lands the left hand.

Davis clinches up with Bullard and pushes him back against the cage.

Davis changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bullard fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bullard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bullard throws a leg kick but Davis sees it coming and checks it nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Davis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bullard needs to keep his hands up - Davis had a free shot at his head there.

Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bullard swings wildly with an uppercut but Davis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Davis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis dodges an elbow strike from Bullard.
Davis tries a body shot but Bullard blocks it.

Bullard is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Davis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Davis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bullard misses with a hook from the clinch.
Davis lands a nice shot to the body.

Davis lands a takedown into guard.
Bullard wants to get back to his feet but Davis passes into half guard.

Bullard told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Davis passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bullard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bullard is in a horrible position here. Davis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Davis is cranking Bullard's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Bullard! He's tightened the choke and Bullard is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ewen Davis!
During a confident post fight interview, Ewen Davis thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
