Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Hope (ranked 5840 p4p, 698 weight class) and Armand Holtz (ranked 8188 p4p, 797 weight class). Armand Holtz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Hope! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armand Holtz! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holtz tries a head kick but it misses.
Hope misses with a jab, cross combination.
Holtz scores with a head kick. Hope tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Billy Hope has been cut. Hope uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holtz.

Holtz moves into range and connects with a jab. Holtz jabs Hope to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hope is breathing heavily. Hope misses with the combination.
Holtz looks to land a right hand but Hope moved out of range. A counter left hand to the body from Hope misses its target. Holtz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Holtz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Holtz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hope changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Some wild striking there from Holtz.
Holtz throws a head kick but Hope moves out of range.
Holtz throws a lazy right hand but Hope sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Holtz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Holtz tries to sprawl but Hope drives through with a takedown into half guard. Holtz is staying active underneath Hope, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Holtz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Holtz is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holtz works his way to full guard. Good work. Holtz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Holtz is looking for a triangle but Hope pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holtz wants to sweep here but Hope controlling him for the moment. Hope prevents Holtz from getting back to his feet. Hope might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Holtz looking for a sweep. Not yet Holtz, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holtz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hope if he has to take too many more of those.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Holtz throws a hook but Hope avoids it easily. Holtz misses with a straight left. Holtz has a takedown stuffed. Hope appears to be looking for a big counter. Hope looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Holtz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hope wants to get back to his feet but Holtz passes into half guard.
Holtz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Holtz trying to control from half guard but Hope is working away. Holtz controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holtz wants to take a breather but Hope is having none of it. Holtz trying to pass the guard but Hope defending well. Holtz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hope is just riding it out for now. Holtz eventually gives up the hold. Hope is staying active underneath Holtz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hope shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hope showed some decent athleticism there. Holtz wants to get back to his feet. Hope trying to control from half guard but Holtz is working away. Hope slows the pace down in half guard. Armand Holtz has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holtz regains full guard. Nicely done. Holtz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hope is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Holtz. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holtz is trying to get back to half guard. Holtz sneaks back into half guard. Hope is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holtz is squirming around, avoiding Hope's attempts to control the action. Holtz is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holtz is trying to stand up. Holtz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Holtz wants to hold on but Hope pushes him away. Holtz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hope. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Holtz working to try and regain half guard.
Holtz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Holtz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holtz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Holtz is squirming around, avoiding Hope's attempts to control the action. Hope avoids the attempt from Holtz to control. Hope tries to control but Holtz wriggling away. Holtz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Holtz is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holtz throws a nice inside leg kick. Holtz throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Holtz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Holtz misses with a straight right. Hope went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Hope ducks under a wild hook from Holtz. Holtz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Holtz throws a shot from downtown. Hope moves away and avoids it. Hope clinches up with Holtz and pushes him back against the cage. Holtz jumps into guard, dragging Hope to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hope is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Holtz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Holtz has escaped and now he's on top! Hope keeping moving, preventing Holtz from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hope is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Holtz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hope is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holtz, into his guard. Holtz trying to keep a closed guard but Hope is proving a slippery customer.
Holtz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hope haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Holtz wriggles free and stands up. Holtz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Holtz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hope closes the distance and clinches. Hope throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Holtz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Holtz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hope, who protects the arm well. Holtz advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Holtz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hope is squirming around, avoiding Holtz's attempts to control the action. Holtz working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Hope slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hope wants to get back to full guard. Hope keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Holtz is nestled in close to Hope, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Holtz slows the pace down in half guard. Hope is refusing to be controlled, as Holtz sits in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holtz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Armand Holtz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Holtz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
