Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darren Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Townsend!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns thows a left - swing and a miss!
Townsend with the counter takedown but Burns avoids it easily.
Townsend bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Townsend displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Townsend will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burns comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Townsend connects with the punch.
Townsend lands a left and a right that send Burns crashing to the mat, dazed. Townsend thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Burns is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Townsend knocks Burns out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adam Townsend!
