Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baby shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Owens is looking for a sweep. Baby is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Baby wants to control but Owens is keeping him busy.
Owens slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Baby wants to control from the top but Owens keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baby throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Owens works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Owens lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Baby shoots in and gets a takedown into Owens's guard.

Owens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baby's guard.

Baby looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Owens passes into half guard.
Baby wants to get back to full guard but Owens has passed into side control.
Owens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Owens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
What's Baby going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Owens wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Baby, who protects the arm well.
Baby sneaks back into half guard.
Baby gets full guard.
Owens trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Baby isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Owens stacks Baby on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Owens!
Baby sneaks back into half guard.

Owens is nestled in close to Baby, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Owens seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Owens is working for a kimura but Baby is defending it quite comfortably.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Owens swats away the attempt to clinch by Baby.
Owens slips a jab and a cross from Baby.
Owens throws a quick counter head kick but Baby was just out of range.
Baby looking to score a takedown here. Owens is defending well but Baby drives through and ends up in Owens's guard.
Baby not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Owens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Owens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Baby is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Owens kicks Baby off and gets to his feet.
Baby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Owens bucks up and tries to throw Baby off but instead Baby has got his back!
Baby wants to control but Owens is keeping busy.
Owens covering up well and avoiding damage.
Owens turns into Baby and is now in his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Owens won't allow Baby to sweep him here.
Baby wants to control the position but Owens says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Baby tries to roll over but Owens keeps him under control.
Baby is breathing heavily.
Baby wants to control but Owens passes into side.
Baby takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Carol Owens overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Owens slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Baby.

Baby is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Owens lands a nice shot to the head.
Baby is looking to improve his position but Owens isn't that keen on the idea.
Baby wants to control but Owens is having none of it.

Baby is in all sorts of trouble here.
Owens with a couple of short strikes.
Owens breaks from Baby's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Owens cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Owens is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Baby can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Owens working for a guillotine from mount but Baby is in no mood to give up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Owens putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Baby tries a head kick but it misses.
Baby blocks a head kick by Owens.
Baby is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
A punch combination from Owens misses.
Baby wants to counter the offense by Owens and move into the clinch position.
Baby rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Owens counters with a three punch combo that has Baby backing up. Baby nods at Owens to acknowledge the strikes.
Baby gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Owens goes for a takedown in the clinch but Baby prevents it.
A right hook to the body lands for Baby.

Baby takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Baby won't allow Owens to get back to his feet.
Owens has his hands on Baby's head, controlling the position.
Owens looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Owens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baby manages to get himself to full guard.
Owens drops back looking for a leg! Baby is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Baby manages to kick Owens off! Owens jumps back into Baby's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Owens's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Baby not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Owens is one step ahead there.
Baby has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Owens off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Baby fails in his attempt to clinch.
Baby fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Owens sprawls well initially but Baby persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Baby is looking to stall here but Owens recovers full guard.
Owens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Baby throws a strike but Owens rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Baby looking to control.
Owens stands and throws Baby's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Owens lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Baby down.
And that's the end of the fight!
Carol Owens showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Owens, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
