Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fury (ranked 809 p4p, 19 weight class) and Kormack Omega (ranked 1379 p4p, 42 weight class). Fury comes to the cage accompanied by J Dilla - Time: The Donut of the Heart. Omega has chosen Bring the Pain - 2Pac as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Fury! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kormack Omega! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fury shoots in for a double leg but Omega sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Omega scores with a nice strike. Fury shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Omega pinned against the cage. Omega gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Omega changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Omega connects with a body shot that sends Fury's belly button to the back. Fury changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Omega tries to avoid it but Fury manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Omega to the ground. Omega escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fury tries to score a power double leg takedown but Omega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fury somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fury shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Omega napping and manages to drive through into side control! Omega prevents Fury from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Omega wants to get back to his feet. Omega felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Fury advances nicely into full mount. Omega stops Fury from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Fury can't control as he wanted to and Omega manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Fury prevents Omega from standing back up.
Fury is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Omega doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fury. Fury wants to control but Omega is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fury uses his free foot to push down on Omega's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Omega. Omega is squirming around, avoiding Fury's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fury sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fury working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Omega stops Fury from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Omega defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fury. Omega wants to control but Fury is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Omega can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fury wants to take Omega's back but he can't do it this time. Omega is desperately trying to improve his position but Fury has a good base and remains in mount. Fury looking to take Omega's back but Omega rolls and after a scramble, Omega ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Omega to escape a tricky position. Omega landing with the ground and pound. Fury is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Omega frees his head nicely. Oh but Fury has switched to an armbar! Omega is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
