Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Apache (ranked 5323 p4p, 474 weight class) and King Diamond (ranked 3061 p4p, 308 weight class). Apache's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Diamond!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond moves out of range as Apache throws a body kick.
Apache takes a kick to the side of the head.
Diamond has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Apache slips a jab from Diamond.
Apache swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diamond.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Apache throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diamond has Apache up against the cage in a clinch.
Apache on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Diamond turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Diamond manages to end up in side control.

Apache tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diamond wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Diamond is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Apache knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Diamond lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Apache down.
Diamond tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diamond has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Apache is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Kangaroo's MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Apache is looking to improve his position but Diamond isn't that keen on the idea.
Diamond has control of Apache's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Apache regains control of the situation pretty easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diamond pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Let's hope that Diamond has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Apache is pressing down on Diamond's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Diamond dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Diamond jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Apache takes one on the button.
Apache is rocked!
King Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Apache thumps Diamond with a low kick.
Oh Apache is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diamond drops Apache with a straight right hand, right on the button! Diamond follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). King Diamond!
After winning the bout, King Diamond thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
