Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lord Wilmore (ranked 5520 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Duggan (ranked 4271 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilmore has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lord Wilmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ron Duggan!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Wilmore misses the target.
Duggan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Duggan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilmore as he jumps to the side.
Duggan shoots in looking for a takedown but Wilmore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duggan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lord Wilmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Duggan.
Wilmore blocks a jab.
Wilmore throws the left hand but Duggan avoids the punch easily.

Duggan shoots in and gets a takedown into Wilmore's guard.
Duggan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wilmore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duggan on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duggan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Duggan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Duggan passes Wilmore's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wilmore is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wilmore is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Duggan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Duggan looks for a takedown but Wilmore sprawls well.
Duggan slips a jab from Wilmore.
Duggan steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Wilmore.

Duggan moves into the clinch successfully.
Wilmore blocks an uppercut.
Duggan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wilmore doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wilmore swings wildly with an uppercut but Duggan uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilmore misses with a hook to the ribs.
Duggan avoiding damage.
Duggan has had enough of the clinch but Wilmore keeps him there for the moment.
Wilmore misses with the head strike.
Wilmore tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Duggan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wilmore pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wilmore lands a really nice looking cross but Duggan seems unphased.
Duggan moves out of range as Wilmore strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Duggan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wilmore's guard.
Duggan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Duggan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wilmore works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Duggan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Duggan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ron Duggan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck for Duggan with that takedown attempt.

Duggan feints and as Wilmore raises his hands in defense, Duggan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Duggan is standing up over Wilmore. Wilmore looks to escape but Duggan dives into side control.

Wilmore on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilmore tries to get out of the position.
Duggan taking a breather here.

Duggan is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wilmore looks calm but he's in trouble here. Duggan gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wilmore is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Duggan lets go of the hold and Wilmore can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ron Duggan!
