Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Dassler (ranked 3672 p4p, 491 weight class) and DJ Skeet (ranked 4638 p4p, 594 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudi Dassler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Skeet!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dassler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Skeet pinned against the cage. Skeet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Skeet lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Skeet throws a hook but Dassler avoids it easily.

Dassler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Dassler counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Dassler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Skeet is just riding it out for now. Dassler eventually gives up the hold.
Skeet makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Skeet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dassler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skeet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Skeet controls Dassler momentarily but Dassler frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Skeet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Skeet wants to sweep here but Dassler controlling him for the moment.

Skeet bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dassler's guard.


Dassler has his foot on Skeet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skeet works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dassler seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dassler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Skeet.
Dassler tries to counter with a takedown but Skeet is quick to defend against it.

Skeet feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dasslers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Dassler drops back looking for a leg! Skeet is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skeet manages to kick Dassler off! Dassler jumps back into Skeet's guard.

Dassler drops back looking for a leg! Skeet is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skeet manages to kick Dassler off! Dassler jumps back into Skeet's guard.
Skeet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Skeet has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Let's hope that Skeet has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Skeet.

Dassler bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Skeet holds on and takes a little breather.

DJ Skeet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Dassler is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Skeet moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DJ Skeet!
DJ Skeet very nearly forgot to thank Amped Performance amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
