Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fermin Larson (ranked 25633 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Montone (ranked 6522 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fermin Larson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leo Montone! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montone shoots in and bounces Larson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Montone stands and steps away. Larson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Montone dives in and scores a takedown into Larson's guard.
Larson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Larson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Montone pulls Larson into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Larson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Larson with a flurry of punches that miss. Larson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Montone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Montone is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Montone wants to stand up but Larson is controlling him.
Montone has his foot on Larson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Larson works his way back into a safe position though.
Larson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Montone is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Montone has escaped and now he's on top!
Montone wants to control from the top but Larson keeps moving.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Montone stands up from Larson's guard - Montone perhaps looking for a knockout. Larson shoots in looking for a takedown. Montone tries to sprawl out of it but Larson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Montone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Montone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Montone lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Montone keeps the fight on the outside. Larson tries to close the distance and clinch but Montone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Montone has managed to clinch.
Montone manages to break the clinch.
Leo Montone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Larson is trying to defend but Montone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Larson wants to get back to full guard.
Montone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Larson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Montone.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Montone decides to return to a standing position.
Montone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Larson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Larson bucks up and tries to throw Montone off but instead Montone has got his back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Larson fending off the submission attempt from Montone. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Larson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Montone dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Larson tries to clinch but Montone moves out of range.
Montone gets a double leg takedown into Larson's guard. Larson trying to control the position.
Montone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Larson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Montone stands and steps away. Larson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Leo Montone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montone looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larson is working an open guard so Montone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Montone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Larson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Larson seems a little lost for a moment, as Montone dominates the positioning. Larson defending against the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Larson is not content to let Montone control the position. Larson stops Montone from passing to mount.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Montone is trying to ground and pound but Larson uses the momentary lack of control by Montone to regain half guard. Montone is taking a breather. Larson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Montone is continuing to stall. Montone passes the guard and advances to mount!
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Montone working for a guillotine from mount but Larson is in no mood to give up. Montone looking to finish with strikes here!
Montone avoids the attempt from Larson to control. Montone punching from mount but Larson doing a good job of avoiding damage. Montone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Montone swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Larson is now in Montone's guard. A big mistake from Montone there, giving up the dominant position! Montone has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Larson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Montone works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Montone has his hands on Larson's head, controlling the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Montone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Montone gets to his feet - Larson follows without any prompting. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montone throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Larson counters with a nice uppercut. Montone misses with a head kick.
Larson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Larson enables Montone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Larson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Montone gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Montone manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Larson on his heels. He'll look to pass Larson's guard now, I'm sure. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Montone trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Montone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Larson shoots for a takedown but Montone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Montone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Larson sprawls well initially but Montone persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Montone performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Montone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Montone decides to stand and escape the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Montone thows a huge punch but Larson dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Montone in particular looking to stall. Montone with the ground and pound but Larson uses the opportunity to regain guard. Montone is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Montone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Larson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Montone is looking to work some ground and pound but Larson has wrist control.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Montone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Larson's guard. Montone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montone missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Leo Montone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Montone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
