Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs cracks Mattison with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mattison tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jacobs! But no joy.
Mattison swinging wildly here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mattison.
Jacobs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mattison takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mattison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A head punch on the inside from Jacobs fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacobs misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Mattison has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jacobs avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mattison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mattison tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jacobs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mattison somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arfast Mattison. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jacobs fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mattison to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mattison looks to clinch but Jacobs throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mattison taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
