Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Dole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Dole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Johny Lock!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock shoots in but Dole avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lock throws a shot to the body.
Lock fails to land the takedown.
Dole doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lock counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dole sees it coming and defends easily.
Dole slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lock tries to free his leg and advance position but Dole is retaining full guard.
Lock advances position into side control!
Lock tries to score with some ground and pound. Dole controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Lock in side control, throwing shots but Dole defends.

Lock is looking to take a break and control but Dole is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dole is looking to regain half guard here but Lock keeps moving and retains side control.

Dole sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dole makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dole.
Dole is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lock wants to get back to full guard.
Dole passes the guard and advances to mount!
Dole prevents Lock from getting the reversal.
Dole moves to back control.
Dole doesn't have the hooks in and Lock manages to turn into his guard.
Lock tries to free his leg and advance position but Dole is retaining full guard.

Dole is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dole's guard.

Lock is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Dole wants to improve his position but Lock is controlling well.

Dole is defending against the submission attempts here by Lock.
Dole tries to get to full guard but Lock has control of the leg.

Lock misses with a takedown

and Dole counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lock won't be happy with that.
Lock is looking for a sweep.
Lock is trying to control Dole's posture but Dole avoids it.
Dole has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lock!

Dole is working for a guillotine from mount but Lock frees his head quite easily.
Lock sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lock moves into full guard.

Dole pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lock is keeping the position for now.
Dole trying to control but Lock is working from the bottom.

Dole drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lock dives on top into guard.

Lock drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lock jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dole has his foot on Lock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lock works his way back into a safe position though.

Lock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lock lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dole is working hard here to advance position.

Lock frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dole is bucking up trying to escape but Lock cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Dole defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lock.

Lock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dole can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Dole stops Lock from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Lock is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dole is surviving well by controlling Lock's body position as best he can.

Lock thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Lock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dole is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lock's back!
Lock manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dole's guard. Nice work there by Lock.

Dole has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johny Lock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Dole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

so Dole counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dole's guard.
Lock works over Dole with some ground and pound from guard.
Lock trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lock trying to control the position from guard on top but Dole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dole working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lock advances to half guard.

Lock is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dole!

Lock is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dole has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dole!

Lock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dole is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dole's back instead.

Lock working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Dole turns into Lock and is now in his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lock is on top in guard.

Lock drops back looking for a leg! Dole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dole manages to kick Lock off! Lock jumps back into Dole's guard.

Johny Lock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
