Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Hughes (ranked 2453 p4p, 45 weight class) and Wolfgang Lee Roth (ranked 1734 p4p, 37 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wolfgang Lee Roth! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee Roth blocks a head kick by Hughes.
Lee Roth throws a right and a left that both miss. Lee Roth has managed to clinch.
Lee Roth misses with some punches.
Hughes works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Lee Roth wants to sweep but no luck. Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss. Lee Roth looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee Roth, not yet. Hughes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hughes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hughes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lee Roth is proving hard to escape from. Lee Roth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hughes's guard. Hughes keeping moving, preventing Lee Roth from controlling successfully. Lee Roth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hughes is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee Roth trying to control but Hughes is working from the bottom. Lee Roth content to stall in guard here. Hughes keeping moving, preventing Lee Roth from controlling successfully. Hughes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lee Roth seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lee Roth works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hughes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee Roth on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hughes trying to control but Lee Roth postures up.
Lee Roth moves into full mount! Hughes won't be happy about that! Lee Roth can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hughes is looking to escape. Hughes tries to hold on but Lee Roth pushes him away. Lee Roth working for a submission but Hughes is keeping him at bay. Lee Roth wants to control the pace but Hughes is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee Roth wants to pass the guard but Hughes is defending well. Hughes wants to improve his position but Lee Roth is controlling well.
Hughes pushes Lee Roth off and gets back to his feet. Lee Roth closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hughes did well to prevent Lee Roth getting side control. Lee Roth is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hughes defends it well. Lee Roth wants to free his trapped foot but Hughes is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughes trying to control but Lee Roth postures up.
Lee Roth looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hughes is positioning himself well to prevent Lee Roth advancing to mount. Lee Roth is taking a breather. Hughes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lee Roth missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hughes moves into full guard.
Hughes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee Roth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wolfgang Lee Roth dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice jab there from Hughes. Lee Roth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee Roth throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hughes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lee Roth switches off momentarily and Hughes cracks him with a monster right hand! Lee Roth topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hughes dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hughes!
