The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ionescu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ionescu has managed to clinch.
Clark jumps guard but Ionescu turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Clark trying to control the position from guard on top but Ionescu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ionescu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ionescu is trying to keep Clark in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Clark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ionescu is adopting a defensive guard.

Clark is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Clark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Clark fails to pull guard.

Ionescu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Clark doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ionescu counters with a right hand to the body.
Claudiu Ionescu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Usain Clark.

Ionescu has managed to clinch.

Clark is trying to maintain a safe position but Ionescu gets an underhook and turns Clark into the cage.

Clark seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ionescu is trying to control the position but Clark postures up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ionescu wants to stand and escape but Clark is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Clark blocks a head kick by Ionescu.

Ionescu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ionescu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Clark is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ionescu off and has taken his back!

Clark has managed to slip his arm under Ionescu's chin. This could be all over... yep, Ionescu is tapping out! Submission win for Clark.
