Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance Paul (ranked 3858 p4p, 514 weight class) and Alfie Solomons (ranked 3977 p4p, 522 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alfie Solomons! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Paul misses the target. Solomons lands a body shot.
Paul bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Solomons's head. Solomons jabbing away but nothing is landing. Paul takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Paul throws a big shot that misses. Solomons lands the left hand. Paul throws a hook to the side of Solomons's head but Solomons sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Solomons lands with a right hand. A nice inside leg kick there by Paul. That's going to slow Solomons down. A slow jab from Solomons misses its intended target. Solomons slips a jab from Paul. Solomons displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paul throws out the jab. A jab lands there for Paul. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paul misses with an uppercut. A big right from Paul misses. Solomons ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paul moves away. Solomons defending well as Paul loads up on a big left hand. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Solomons! But no joy. Paul throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good work by Solomons as he checks the leg kick. Paul throws a low kick but Solomons avoids it. Solomons walks into a left hand. Paul scores with a body shot.
Solomons gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Solomons uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paul. A little jabbing left from Solomons on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Solomons takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paul steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Solomons. Paul appears to be looking for a big counter. Paul checks a leg kick nicely. A big right from Paul misses. Solomons throws a jab when Paul was well out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Paul. Solomons does a little dance to reset his feet. Paul lands a nice shot that snaps Solomons's head back.
Paul ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solomons moves away. A countering left hand to the body from Solomons misses. Solomons throws a head kick that misses. Solomons scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Solomons takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Paul works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Solomons takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lance Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul connects with a nice looking jab.
Solomons scores with a sloppy right hand. Paul should have avoided that one. Solomons digs a good hook to Paul's body.
Paul connects with a solid leg kick. Paul tests Solomons's chin there with a solid looking shot. Solomons stuns Paul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Solomons tries to move into range but Paul moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A nice inside leg kick there by Paul. That's going to slow Solomons down. Paul misses with an uppercut. A little jabbing left from Solomons on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Paul is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A nice leg kick lands there from Paul. Paul steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Solomons. Solomons gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Paul throws a jab but it's blocked by Solomons.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solomons moves out of range of the strikes. Paul looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Paul throws a leg kick which misses Solomons's front leg but catches the back leg as Solomons tries to avoid it. Jab, jab by Paul - just one landing. Paul bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Solomons's head backwards. Solomons scores with a shot to the body.
Solomons lands a slapping body shot.
Paul feints a jab promting Solomons to slip. Paul then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Solomons slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Paul misses with a hook. Solomons ducked under it nicely. Paul throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Solomons. Paul throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Paul connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Solomons momentarily.

Solomons works Paul's body with a nice hook. Paul uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solomons. Solomons slips a straight right by Paul. Solomons looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paul throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Paul on the wrong end of a nice hook. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Solomons, as that shot connected.
Paul gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Paul uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solomons. Paul uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Solomons.
Paul lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paul connects with a leg kick. Solomons looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Paul takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Paul connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Solomons shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Paul lands a glancing blow to the side of Solomons's head. Solomons takes a jab right on the kisser.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Paul throws the left hand but Solomons avoids the punch easily. Solomons getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Solomons tries to land a leg kick but Paul saw it coming and moves away.
Paul throws a jab when Solomons was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lance Paul dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Paul dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Solomons swings for the body but Paul moves out of range.
Solomons loads up on a big right hand but Paul slips the punch. It looked like Paul wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Paul misses with a straight right. Paul cracks Solomons with an open hand slap. Solomons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paul sees it coming and avoids it easily. Paul with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Solomons cracks a nice hook into Paul's ribs. It looks like Paul has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Solomons throws a jab when Paul was well out of range. Solomons looks for the body kick but Paul saw that one coming. Paul lands with a cross. Paul is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Solomons can do to turn this around? Paul is looking to slow Solomons down with leg kicks. Lance Paul is winning the standup battle so far. Paul bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Solomons might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Paul has got the better of the exchanges. Paul moves out of range of the strikes. Paul throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Solomons let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Solomons bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Solomons swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Paul throws a good cross that connects.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Solomons misses the body punch and Paul counters with a lovely straight right hand!

As Solomons looks to move away, Paul throws a big counter combo but Solomons just gets out of the way. Paul has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Solomons slips under a jab from Paul. Paul cracks Solomons with an open hand slap. Solomons thows a left - swing and a miss! Paul throws a one two combo.
Solomons moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice uppercut lands for Paul. That snapped Solomons's head back.

Paul is rocked! Paul is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Solomons doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Paul crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Paul's bad books for that mishap!
