Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Goldberg (ranked 7968 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryker Tomasi (ranked 6601 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryker Tomasi! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Tomasi. Tomasi scores with a jab to the jaw. Tomasi lands the left hand. Goldberg looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Tomasi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Goldberg gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tomasi. Tomasi lunges at Goldberg with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Goldberg's hand. Tomasi cracks Goldberg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab from Tomasi. Goldberg on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Goldberg rushes Tomasi and presses him up against the cage. Tomasi misses with a short punch on the inside. Goldberg has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tomasi regains guard immediately. Goldberg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Goldberg stays in close to Tomasi's body and controls the position. Goldberg pushes down on Tomasi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Goldberg working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Goldberg not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Goldberg works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldberg looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Tomasi in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Goldberg sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Goldberg wants to finish this one by submission but Tomasi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Goldberg. Goldberg controlling from mount. Tomasi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Goldberg has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bill Goldberg will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tomasi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tomasi cracks Goldberg with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tomasi jabs Goldberg to the body, keeping him at a distance. Tomasi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tomasi gets caught flat footed, as Goldberg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomasi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Goldberg stands up from Tomasi's guard - Goldberg perhaps looking for a knockout. Goldberg walks into a jab. Tomasi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tomasi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Tomasi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Goldberg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldberg tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tomasi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Goldberg sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tomasi defending well though. Goldberg content to control rather than advance. Goldberg is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldberg gets to his feet. Tomasi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fighters circle momentarily. Tomasi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tomasi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Goldberg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tomasi defends it nicely. Goldberg clinches. Tomasi misses with the head strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goldberg turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee asks Goldberg politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Goldberg prefers to stall for the moment though. Goldberg working the head and body with strikes. Goldberg throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Goldberg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Goldberg is working Tomasi over with some ground and pound from side control. Tomasi is breathing heavily. Goldberg has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Goldberg darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Goldberg dominated that second round. That's time! Goldberg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Goldberg drives through with a takedown into Tomasi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Goldberg wants to control from the top but Tomasi keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goldberg sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldberg throwing strikes but missing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Goldberg looking to pass the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Goldberg clinches. Ryker Tomasi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tomasi swings wildly with an uppercut but Goldberg uses good head movement to avoid it. Goldberg pressing his opponent against the cage. Tomasi misses with a punch on the inside.

Goldberg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Goldberg continues to stall. Goldberg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Goldberg is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tomasi can do to turn this around?

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goldberg is on top in guard.
Goldberg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tomasi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Goldberg with a flurry of punches that miss. Goldberg controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tomasi looks to score with a jab to the body but Goldberg is just out of range. Goldberg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Tomasi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Goldberg stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Goldberg showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Goldberg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
