0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Raul Gracie! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez misses with the combination.
Alvarez throws a combination. Gracie tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Alvarez throws a combination that misses and Gracie counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A bit of stalling here from Gracie.
Gracie misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alvarez.
Alvarez blocks a body shot from Gracie. Gracie controlling the action here for a moment.
Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alvarez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alvarez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Alvarez is proving a slippery customer.
Gracie pushes a forearm under Alvarez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Alvarez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Raul Gracie! An out of breath Raul Gracie thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
