Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Underwood (ranked 6477 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Donaldson (ranked 6476 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Underwood takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Underwood really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Underwood shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Donaldson defends it nicely.

Donaldson wanted to stand there but Underwood had control of the position.
Donaldson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Underwood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donaldson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Underwood has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Underwood darts in looking for a takedown but Donaldson gets double underhooks and turns Underwood into the cage.

Donaldson is trying to remain composed but Underwood is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Donaldson is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Underwood off. It looks like it's working - Underwood slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Donaldson displaying calm under pressure there.

That was a close round but I would say that Sylvester Underwood will probably get the nod.

Underwood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Donaldson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Donaldson wants to stand but Underwood has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Donaldson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Donaldson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Underwood pulls Donaldson in close to prevent any damage.

Underwood seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Donaldson for as long as he can get away with.

Underwood feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Donaldson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Donaldson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Donaldson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
No luck for Underwood with that takedown attempt.

Donaldson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Underwood manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Underwood, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
