Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Emmett Vaughn (ranked 6683 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Woody (ranked 6252 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Emmett Vaughn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Woody! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woody shoots in for a double leg but Vaughn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Woody throws a leg kick and Vaughn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Woody won't be happy with that. Vaughn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Woody knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Woody's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Woody is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vaughn's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Woody is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woody is looking to control Vaughn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Woody avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughn wants to stand but Woody has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Vaughn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Woody works his way to full guard. Good work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Woody is on top in guard.
Vaughn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vaughn is looking to stand up but Woody isn't so interested in that idea. Vaughn pulls Woody in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woody stops Vaughn from standing up. Woody is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Woody pushes down on Vaughn's leg and manages to get into half guard. Woody seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Vaughn wants to control but Woody is keeping busy and won't allow it. Woody trying to control the action but Vaughn is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woody keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Woody pulls Vaughn into guard.
Woody working for a triangle but Vaughn defends it easily.
Woody working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vaughn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vaughn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vaughn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woody on the ground. Vaughn tries to stand but Woody is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woody is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Vaughn tries to stand but Woody is controlling from the bottom. Vaughn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Woody is trying to control the position but Vaughn postures up. Woody looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Vaughn wanted to stand there but Woody had control of the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Woody trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Vaughn postures up in Woody's guard and throws a big left but Woody blocks it. Woody looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Woody fails to land the takedown. Woody shoots in for a double leg but Vaughn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Vaughn pushes Woody up against the cage in a clinch. Woody gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vaughn is refusing to be controlled, as Woody sits in half guard. Woody prevents Vaughn from standing back up.

Woody performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Vaughn tries to get to full guard but Woody has control of the leg. Vaughn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vaughn wants to get back to full guard. Woody trying to mount his opponent but Vaughn defends it. Woody throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Vaughn to regain full guard. Vaughn wants to sweep but no luck. Vaughn wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Woody manages to pass to side control. Woody is trying to control the action in half guard but Vaughn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Brandon Woody has got the better of the ground game so far. Woody wants to pass to mount but Vaughn is defending the position. Woody is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woody perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Woody has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Woody missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Woody content to control rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Vaughn tries to clinch up. Woody darts in and clinches Vaughn up against the cage. Woody jumps guard and drags Vaughn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Woody manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vaughn manages to get himself to full guard.
Woody won't allow Vaughn to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woody wants to control from the top but Vaughn keeps moving. Vaughn wants to stand but Woody is controlling the position. Woody trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Woody slips nicely into half guard. Woody is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Woody with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Woody showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Vaughn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vaughn wants it to stay on the feet. Vaughn misses with a few strikes there.
Woody feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Vaughn has Woody pulled in close to control his posture. Woody advances to half guard. Woody content to control rather than advance. Woody prevents Vaughn from standing back up.

A frustrated look appears on Vaughn's face as he tries to break the clinch. Vaughn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Woody walks away with a smile on his face. Vaughn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Vaughn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Woody to score an easy takedown into full guard. Vaughn is pulling down on Woody's head. It's preventing any offense from Woody, at least for the moment. Vaughn is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Woody dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woody tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Woody controlling from side mount. Woody wants to stand but Vaughn has his arm trapped. Woody has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Vaughn!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Woody looking to control but Vaughn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Woody lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Woody controlling the position easily from mount. Vaughn is trying desperately to improve position. Woody looking to control and managing it successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Emmett Vaughn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brandon Woody is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Woody blocks Vaughn's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
