Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berry Morse (ranked 24699 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Nash (ranked 4245 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Berry Morse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Nash!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash scoring well with a low kick there.

Nash clinches up against the cage.

Nash breaks the clinch.

Morse tries to keep at a distance but Nash has taken the fight into the clinch.

Morse pulls guard successfully.
Nash tries to free his leg and advance position but Morse is retaining full guard.
Nash stands and throws Morse's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nash lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.


It looks like Berry Morse has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nash tries to get to his feet but Morse is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Nash in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morse seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Nash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nash looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morse is fending him off so far but Nash persists. Nope, Morse circles away and we're back to standing.
Morse throws a quick counter head kick but Nash was just out of range.

Berry Morse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Nash.
Nash shoots in for a takedown but Morse shows good takedown defense.

Scott Nash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nash must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Morse holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nash sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morse's guard.

Nash is looking for a kimura but Morse is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nash to get the leverage.
Morse is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nash connects with a nice short shot to Morse's temple.

Nash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Morse pulls Nash in close to prevent any damage.

Nash shoots in and bounces Morse off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Nash distracts Morse with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Scott Nash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
