Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongo Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smash has chosen Donkey Kong Country Music - Main Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Ellison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mongo Smash!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash rushes Ellison and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smash misses with a knee strike.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Smash lands a left hand.
Smash connects with a knee to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Smash.
Ellison swings wildly with an uppercut but Smash uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ellison tries to break the clinch but Smash is controlling the position.

Ellison drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smash gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Smash throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ellison blocks it with crossed arms.

Smash has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ellison regains guard immediately.

Smash drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smash jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smash will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ellison up against the cage.

Smash lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Smash prevents Ellison from improving his position.
Ellison has hold of Smash's hands but Smash slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ellison throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Smash winds up and cracks Ellison with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Smash wants to control but Ellison is keeping him busy.

Smash is trying to work for a kimura but Ellison is defending well.

Smash wants to work for an arm triangle but Ellison is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Smash not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Smash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ellison does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ellison is looking for a sweep. Smash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smash connects with a nice short shot to Ellison's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smash is keen to just control but Ellison is a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smash moves into range and clinches up with Ellison.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mongo Smash dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Smash looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ellison!
Ellison really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
BOOM! Smash connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Smash prevents Ellison from getting the reversal.
Smash trying to control but Ellison is having none of it.
Ellison wants to hold on but Smash pushes him away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smash jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ellison manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ellison wants to control but Smash postures up.
Smash lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Ellison tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Smash creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Smash grinds an elbow into Ellison's temple.
Ellison is trying to improve his position.

Ellison on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Smash is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ellison looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smash gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ellison is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smash lets go of the hold and Ellison can pop his arm back in it's socket.
