Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grey Vincent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Rome!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vincent tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grey Vincent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Vincent, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rome gets caught napping as Vincent dives in and scores a takedown. Rome manages to retain guard.
Rome has a closed guard, preventing Vincent from standing up.
Vincent trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Rome manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Rome controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vincent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Vincent shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vincent showed some decent athleticism there.

Rome is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vincent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vincent's back!

That was a close round but I would say that Grey Vincent will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rome circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rome is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Grey Vincent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rome takes a swing at Vincent's ribcage but misses.
Rome blocks a head kick by Vincent.
Vincent throws a head kick but Rome moves out of range.
Rome let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Vincent throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rome.
Rome on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Vincent swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rome feints a counter leg kick.

Vincent wants to control from the top but Rome keeps moving.

Vincent looking to sit in guard and control but Rome gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vincent working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rome has passed into half guard!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Vincent shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rome is trying to defend but Vincent finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Vincent is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Rome manages to get to full guard.

Rome bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vincent's guard.
