Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaster throws out a loose jab but Mutou uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blaster throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fighters circling - Mutou throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mutou misses with a looping left.
Blaster looks to land a left hand but Mutou moved out of range nicely.
Mutou attempts a counter takedown but Blaster avoids it well and moves away.
Mutou drops his hands momentarily and Blaster takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Blaster has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Mutou feints and as Blaster raises his hands in defense, Mutou changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Blaster tries to kick Mutou off in order to stand up. Mutou Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Blaster sneaks out the side door and pushes Mutou away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Mutou throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blaster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mutou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Blaster throws a low kick, looking for Mutou's leg but Mutou calmly moves out of range.
Mutou on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mutou shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blaster defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiji Mutou. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blaster enables Mutou to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blaster manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mutou lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Keiji Mutou will probably get the nod.
