Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cole Gentry (ranked 24862 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Cross (ranked 6472 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Cross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross takes the fight into the clinch.

Gentry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gentry works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cross throws an elbow that misses. Gentry uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cross's guard. Nice move by Gentry!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cross is trying to control the position but Gentry postures up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gentry is in close to Cross's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Gentry drops back looking for a leg! Cross is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cross manages to kick Gentry off! Gentry jumps back into Cross's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gentry shoots in looking for a takedown. Cross tries to sprawl out of it but Gentry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cross connects with a jab.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cross feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gentrys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cross thuds his right hand into Gentry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Connor Cross will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cross bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gentry's head.
Gentry is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Cross instigates a clinch.
Oh Gentry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gentry blocks an uppercut.
Gentry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cross creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cross misses with some punches.

Cross tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A nice left hand lands by Cross.
Cross creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gentry with a big uppercut! Gentry tries to clinch up but Cross pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gentry to the mat! Gentry covers up and Cross unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Connor Cross!
