Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nobunaga Tanaka (ranked 3202 p4p, 152 weight class) and Bob Johnson (ranked 2349 p4p, 112 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nobunaga Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Johnson! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka throws a body kick that misses. Johnson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Tanaka blocks a jab. Johnson throws a hook but Tanaka blocks it. Tanaka drops down looking for a counter takedown but Johnson sprawls and moves away. Johnson takes a swing at Tanaka's ribcage but misses. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tanaka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A left lands for Johnson. Tanaka avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Tanaka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Tanaka takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tanaka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Tanaka persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson swings for the body but Tanaka moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throws the left hand but Tanaka avoids the punch easily. Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson. Tanaka dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Tanaka's head and hops out. Johnson misses the shot to the body. Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tanaka tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Johnson manages to circle out of the way. Tanaka doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Tanaka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Johnson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Tanaka takes a shot right to the bread basket. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tanaka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tanaka tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Johnson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Tanaka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tanaka moves nicely into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanaka trying to control the position but Johnson is working away. Tanaka moves into full mount! Tanaka throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Johnson because Tanaka loaded up on that one. Tanaka looking for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is having none of it. Tanaka misses with a head shot. Tanaka sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanaka connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tanaka putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Tanaka throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Tanaka is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Johnson is in real trouble.
Tanaka is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Johnson taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Tanaka.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nobunaga Tanaka! Nobunaga Tanaka seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
