Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Gilmore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Gilmore to counter with a crisp jab. Gilmore throws the left hand but White avoids the punch easily. We've been told by Gilmore's head coaches at Iron Fist Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. White has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gilmore. Chris White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gilmore lands with a kick to the ribs.
Gilmore scores with a one two! White had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Gilmore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but White circles away quickly and effectively. White takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gilmore avoids a punch combination nicely.
White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gilmore is looking to counter punch. White gets in close and instigates a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Gilmore breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! White is looking to clinch. White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gilmore sees that one coming and sprawls well. White shoots in looking for a takedown but Gilmore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing White's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. White tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. White throws a right and a left that Gilmore avoids nicely. Gilmore lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Gilmore throws a combination. White tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. White smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. White checks a low kick from Gilmore. White tries to close the distance and clinch but Gilmore swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Good shot there by White. White tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. White throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Gilmore to counter with a crisp jab.
That has opened up Chris White's cut even more. White has Gilmore up against the cage in a clinch.

White fails with the takedown. Anthony Gilmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris White. A cross from Gilmore lands. White misses with a two punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White tries to clinch but Gilmore moves out of range. Anthony Gilmore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gilmore misses with a series of wild punches.

Gilmore throws a big counter combination but White scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Anthony Gilmore is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. White with a lazy takedown attempt and Gilmore counters with an inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gilmore throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gilmore seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Gilmore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around? White pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gilmore back to the cage. White follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Gilmore tries to work over White's front leg with a kick but White checks it. Good standup being displayed there by Gilmore as he connects with a hook. Gilmore throws a combination but it was largely blocked by White. The fight stays on the outside here - White looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gilmore looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

and Gilmore counters with a lovely shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gilmore fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Those never looked like landing. White closes the distance and lands a one-two. Gilmore misses with an uppercut. White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gilmore swings away with a body shot that misses
and White counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gilmore cracks the inside of White's front leg.

Gilmore tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but White was well out of range. Poor timing from Gilmore. Gilmore looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. White walks into a stiff left hand from Gilmore. Gilmore throws a series of punches but White moves out of range. White lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Gilmore scores with the left hand. White knows he should have avoided that one. Gilmore lands a big head kick that sends White tumbling to the mat! Gilmore takes a step backwards and waves White back to his feet - he wants the finish!
White is rocked!
Chris White's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gilmore is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches White flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! White is out cold! Gilmore holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
