Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ernie Cardenas (ranked 8886 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eoin O Raghallaigh (ranked 8665 p4p, 0 weight class). Eoin O Raghallaigh will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ernie Cardenas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eoin O Raghallaigh! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Raghallaigh tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cardenas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Cardenas scoring with strikes to the body and head. O Raghallaigh is looking to get back to is feet but Cardenas passes into side control.
Cardenas happy to just control the position for now. O Raghallaigh is pushing Cardenas's head away, looking to escape. Cardenas manages to hold on to the position though. Cardenas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cardenas in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cardenas working the ground and pound. O Raghallaigh is trying to escape the position but Cardenas is controlling the position. O Raghallaigh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardenas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cardenas really is a fat lump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Raghallaigh taking a bit of punishment here - Cardenas scoring with strikes. O Raghallaigh is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Raghallaigh being controlled for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cardenas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Cardenas working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. O Raghallaigh is trying to get back to his feet. O Raghallaigh is looking to get back to his feet here but Cardenas is keeping cool and he's managed to take O Raghallaigh's back. O Raghallaigh grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. O Raghallaigh is trying to stand back up. Cardenas cracks O Raghallaigh with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing O Raghallaigh from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Cardenas is riding his opponent, not letting O Raghallaigh buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Raghallaigh is trying to stand back up. O Raghallaigh is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Cardenas.
O Raghallaigh is trying to get back to his feet but Cardenas has full control of the position and if anything, O Raghallaigh has just worked his way into a worse spot. O Raghallaigh is trapped and Cardenas is scoring with shots to the head and body. O Raghallaigh trying to get back to his feet but Cardenas is in full control for now. Cardenas lands shots from the back. Cardenas punches O Raghallaigh on the ear. O Raghallaigh is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Cardenas is punishing O Raghallaigh with some ground and pound. Cardenas lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cardenas slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
O Raghallaigh is trying to stand back up. Cardenas really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cardenas biding his time, controlling O Raghallaigh. O Raghallaigh trying to get back to his feet but Cardenas is in full control for now. Cardenas trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure O Raghallaigh doesn't escape. Cardenas lands strikes to the head. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cardenas is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
O Raghallaigh is trying to stand back up. Cardenas controlling from the back. Cardenas landing with strikes. Cardenas lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. O Raghallaigh wants to get back to his feet. Cardenas lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can O Raghallaigh hold on?!

O Raghallaigh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cardenas looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cardenas postures up in O Raghallaigh's guard and throws a big left but O Raghallaigh blocks it. O Raghallaigh wants to get back to his feet but Cardenas is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cardenas throwing strikes from guard but O Raghallaigh blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cardenas lands a couple of elbows. Ernie Cardenas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cardenas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. O Raghallaigh is looking to stand up but Cardenas isn't so interested in that idea.

O Raghallaigh wants to stand and escape but Cardenas is having none of it. O Raghallaigh is looking to stand back up but Cardenas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by O Raghallaigh. O Raghallaigh is trying to stand back up but Cardenas is controlling him
Well, if Cardenas is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
O Raghallaigh taking some punishment here, with Cardenas in his half guard. Cardenas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that O Raghallaigh can do to turn this around? Cardenas postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for O Raghallaigh to stand up. O Raghallaigh thows a leg kick but Cardenas checks it and Cardenas counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for O Raghallaigh! O Raghallaigh is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cardenas asserts his dominance and retains side control. Cardenas tries for a kimura but O Raghallaigh is defending well. Cardenas working the ground and pound from side control.

A lull in the action here. O Raghallaigh is not in a great position here, taking some shots. O Raghallaigh tries to escape but Cardenas is in control. Cardenas cracks O Raghallaigh with a big right hand but O Raghallaigh just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

No, O Raghallaigh has escaped the position, nice work there. Cardenas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cardenas stands up and beckons O Raghallaigh to his feet. O Raghallaigh moves in looking to clinch but Cardenas pushes him off. O Raghallaigh connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Ernie Cardenas has been cut. The fighters circle momentarily. O Raghallaigh darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

O Raghallaigh misses with a looping left. Cardenas moves out of range of the strikes. Cardenas is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from O Raghallaigh. O Raghallaigh throws a lazy uppercut
and Cardenas counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cardenas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cardenas keeps control of O Raghallaigh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cardenas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. BOOM! O Raghallaigh lands a beautiful left hook that drops Cardenas. Cardenas tries to recover but O Raghallaigh is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Cardenas lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eoin O Raghallaigh!
