Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodrigo Calderon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Lee!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into Calderon's guard.
Lee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Calderon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lee trying to control but Calderon is working from the bottom.
Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Calderon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee throws a lazy head kick
and Calderon counters by clinching up.
Lee is trying to push Calderon away but Calderon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Calderon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Calderon avoids a kick to the body.
Calderon has a takedown stuffed.
Lee tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lee rushes Calderon and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Calderon is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Lee piles on the pressure and Calderon crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
