Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Harper (ranked 6536 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kellar Mcfist (ranked 6521 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kellar Mcfist!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mcfist has clasped his hands together around Harper's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Harper wants to get back to his feet but Mcfist is dominant here and he's now got Harper's back!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Harper is trying to stand back up.
Harper covering up well and avoiding damage.
You can see the frustration on Harper's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mcfist thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Harper rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Mcfist is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Harper has managed to free his arm - good work.
Harper throws a strike from the bottom but Mcfist passes into side control!

The strikes coming from Mcfist are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Harper throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Harper is looking for a sweep.

Mcfist decides to stand back up.
Harper wants to clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Harper has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mcfist manages to pull guard.
Mcfist has momentary wrist control but Harper slips an elbow through the middle.
Mcfist is striking from the bottom but Harper uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Mcfist wants to get back to full guard.
Harper drops an elbow to the side of Mcfist's head.
Mcfist is trying to control but Harper passes into side control!

Harper wants to stand but Mcfist is controlling his arm.
Mcfist is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Harper is controlling him well.

Harper stands up and beckons Mcfist to his feet.
Mcfist misses with a double jab.
Harper feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Mcfist darts in and clinches Harper up against the cage.
Harper is trying to break free.
Harper stalling in the clinch but Mcfist improves position.
Mcfist keeps control of Harper as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mcfist decides to pull guard.
Harper is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Mcfist is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Harper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mcfist looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Harper lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Harper makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Harper cracks Mcfist with a solid left hand.
Harper trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mcfist preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mcfist is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kellar Mcfist will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Mcfist decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Harper makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Harper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcfist as he avoids it easily.
Mcfist tests Harper's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Harper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mcfist gets a double leg takedown into Harper's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harper lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Harper content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Mcfist pulls Harper in to control the position.
Mcfist is striking off his back. Harper thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Mcfist moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mcfist is looking to sweep but instead, Harper has passed into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harper lands a nice short elbow.
Mcfist tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Harper has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Harper looking to finish Mcfist with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mcfist!
Harper prevents Mcfist from getting the reversal.
Harper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mcfist tries to lock up and control but Harper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harper controlling the position easily from mount.
Harper postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mcfist looks a forlorn figure.
Mcfist is in a horrible position here. Harper smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcfist wants to control but Harper is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harper cracks Mcfist with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mcfist slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Harper winds up and cracks Mcfist with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Harper is nestled in close to Mcfist, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mcfist is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harper's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harper's back!
Harper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mcfist can do to turn this around?
Mcfist is breathing heavily.

Harper is really stuck here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Harper dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mcfist closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harper's guard.

Jack Harper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harper flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Mcfist looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mcfist is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Harper doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mcfist.

Harper is looking for a sweep. Mcfist is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Harper manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mcfist drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harper dives on top into guard.

Mcfist wants to control but Harper passes easily into half guard.
Harper tries to stand and escape but Mcfist is controlling the position.

Harper slips a nice elbow through Mcfist's hands, connecting with Mcfist's forehead.
Harper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mcfist with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Harper looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Harper scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Harper is looking for a kimura but Mcfist is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harper to get the leverage.

Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Mcfist has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harper is working away from the top position though.
Harper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mcfist with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Harper.
I think Harper has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
