Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Captain Insano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Liebling!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liebling throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Insano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Liebling paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Insano wants to clinch.
Liebling avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Insano tries to clinch up but Liebling circles away and keeps his distance.
Captain Insano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Insano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liebling swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Insano swings for the body but Liebling moves out of range.
Insano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liebling circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - Insano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A clash of legs there as Insano blocks the low kick.
Insano tries to clinch up but Liebling circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liebling throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Insano closes the distance and pushes Liebling back into the cage.
Insano with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Insano using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Liebling has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Insano throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Liebling blocks it with crossed arms.
Liebling tries to pull guard but Insano won't allow it.
Insano with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Insano tries to land knees in the clinch but Liebling avoids the damage to the body.

Liebling jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Insano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liebling is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Liebling seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Liebling has his foot on Insano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Insano works his way back into a safe position though.
Liebling will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Liebling looking for a sweep. Not yet Liebling, not yet.

Liebling working for a triangle but Insano defends it easily.

Insano avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Liebling has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Insano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Liebling is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Insano rolls with it to try and escape but Liebling cranks on the arm and Insano is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
