Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 2096 p4p, 318 weight class) and Blind Shaman (ranked 725 p4p, 126 weight class). Bone comes to the cage accompanied by You'll Never Walk Alone. Shaman has chosen Shaman's Dream as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blind Shaman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaman throws a half hearted mid kick.
Shaman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shaman throws out a counter right but Bone avoids it with no problem.
Shaman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shaman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A low kick from Bone is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bone throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Shaman to counter with a crisp jab.
Bone misses with a low kick.
Bone goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bone throws a right hand that Shaman ducks under and follows up with a left that Shaman also avoids with ease.
Bone throws a shot from downtown. Shaman moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaman moves out of range of the strikes.
Shaman looks to land a combination but Bone avoids it well.
Bone seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Bone misses with a jab to the body
and Shaman counters with a nice uppercut.
Shaman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bone moves out of range as Shaman throws a body kick.
Bone swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Shaman counters with a good low kick that Bone was not able to check.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bone. Shaman does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little jabbing left from Shaman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bone is breathing heavily.
Shaman scores with a shot to the side of Bone's head.

Shaman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bone avoids it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shaman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Shaman digs a right hand underneath Bone's ribcage. Bone let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Shaman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Shaman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Bone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shaman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bone's sensitive parts.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shaman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shaman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bone has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shaman finds it's way round the side to connect with Bone's head.

Bone misses with a looping right.
Bone throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Shaman counters with a nice uppercut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bone crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shaman - the referee stops the clock and Bone gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shaman. Bone manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Shaman throws a nice inside leg kick.
Shaman throws a series of punches but Bone avoids them all with ease.
Shaman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bone throws an off balance right hand
and Shaman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shaman lands with a slapping head kick.
Shaman throws a chopping leg kick but Bone manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Shaman throws a low kick, looking for Bone's leg but Bone calmly moves out of range.
Bone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shaman throws a body shot but no joy.
Bone attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Bone misses with a leg kick.
Shaman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bone feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shaman's calf.
Shaman checks a leg kick nicely.

Shaman appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Bone.
Shaman tries to clinch up but Bone circles away and keeps his distance.
Shaman slips a jab from Bone.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bone, as that shot connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blind Shaman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Shaman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bone. Bone circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Shaman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shaman! But no joy.

Bone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Shaman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bone will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bone fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shaman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

I was talking to Bone's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

A close second round but Blind Shaman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Bone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bone is rocked!
Shaman drops Bone with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bone! Shaman dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blind Shaman!
Blind Shaman seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
