Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Micheal King was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Thunder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Micheal King! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling King to score with a decent uppercut. King tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Thunder is able to avoid easily. Thunder fails with a takedown attempt. Thunder has a takedown stuffed. King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thunder was well out of range. Poor timing from King. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King doesn't succeed with the takedown and Thunder counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Thunder working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. King looks gassed! Thunder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Thunder has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Thunder working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Thunder with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thunder distracts King with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Thunder postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! King is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Thunder, into his guard. Thunder looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Thunder throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Thunder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. King sitting in guard, not really doing much. Thunder striking off his back but it's not causing King any problems. Thunder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thunder tries to get out of the position. King wants to stand but Thunder has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Thunder throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Thunder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and King counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Thunder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thunder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Thunder is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. King can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Thunder lands a nice shot to the head. King is desperately trying to improve his position but Thunder has a good base and remains in mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thunder swivels and escapes. Thunder with a lazy takedown attempt and King counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Thunder's guard now. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. King rushes Thunder and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Thunder drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Thunder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground. King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Thunder will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Thunder tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. King moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. King tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thunder is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked King off and has taken his back! Thunder is trying to stick to King's back but King is turning into Thunder. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Thunder's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by King. Thunder tries to strike from the bottom.

King is desperately trying to improve his position but Thunder has a good base and remains in mount. Thunder dominating with strikes here. King is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thunder looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Thunder cracks King with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
King takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Thunder putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! King tries to reverse the position but Thunder maintains control. Micheal King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brian Thunder is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thunder looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Thunder showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thunder, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
