Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Pierno (ranked 216 p4p, 33 weight class) and Bobby Shamrock (ranked 326 p4p, 51 weight class). Pierno kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sick Puppies - You're Going Down . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Pierno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock avoids the body shot from Pierno.
Shamrock throws out a counter right but Pierno avoids it with no problem. Shamrock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pierno. Shamrock is looking for the big counter here. Pierno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pierno misses with a lunging right hand
and Shamrock counters with a stiff right hand. Pierno pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pierno lands a slapping body shot.
Pierno works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierno throws a lazy right hand but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Shamrock looks like he wants to counter punch here. Pierno just misses with a punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pierno dips to his left and cracks Shamrock with an uppercut! Nice uppercut there from Shamrock. A looping hook to the body misses from Pierno. Shamrock does a little dance to reset his feet. Pierno throws a predictable looking body shot
and Shamrock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pierno misses with a two punch combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shamrock! But no joy. Pierno misses with an uppercut
and Shamrock cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A big right from Shamrock misses. Shamrock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierno looks to score with a jab to the body but Shamrock is just out of range. Shamrock dodges the punch combination from Pierno.
Pierno throws a big shot that misses. Shamrock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pierno.
Shamrock throws a counter combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pierno throws an off balance right hand
and Shamrock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pierno misses with a two punch combination.

A little jabbing left from Shamrock on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Shamrock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pierno. Shamrock is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pierno with a body shot. Pierno uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shamrock. Pierno with a hook. Pierno misses with a straight right. Shamrock throws out a counter right but Pierno avoids it with no problem. Pierno pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pierno throws out a loose jab but Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierno throws a combination that misses and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand. Pierno clobbers Shamrock with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Shamrock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shamrock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shamrock misses with a looping right. Pierno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shamrock takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Bobby Shamrock has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shamrock ducks under a wild hook from Pierno. Pierno rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shamrock counters with a stiff right hand. Pierno throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Shamrock to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Pierno dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bobby Shamrock's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Pierno darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Pierno walks into a jab. Pierno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shamrock swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Pierno lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Shamrock might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierno misses with a lunging right hand
and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand. Pierno misses with a left hand and Shamrock counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pierno misses with a looping right. Shamrock wants to counter the offense by Pierno and move into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock defending well as Pierno loads up on a big left hand. Shamrock looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shamrock slips a jab from Pierno. Pierno lands a nice shot that snaps Shamrock's head back.
Shamrock avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Pierno scores with a hook to the body. Shamrock takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pierno drops Shamrock with a left right combo! Pierno follows him down to the ground into side control.
Shamrock is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shamrock tries to escape but Pierno is in control. Shamrock is being controlled here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Pierno tries to advance to mount but can't. Pierno trying to control the position but Shamrock is working away. Shamrock is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pierno has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pierno is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shamrock can do to turn this around? Pierno wants to control but Shamrock is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock pushes Pierno away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pierno gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shamrock swings for the body but Pierno moves out of range.
We've been told by Pierno's head coaches at Rabid Dog that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pierno, as that shot connected.

and Shamrock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shamrock tries to move into range but Pierno moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Some wild striking there from Pierno.

and Shamrock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Shamrock dodges the punch combination from Pierno.
Shamrock throws out a counter right but Pierno avoids it with no problem. Pierno stalks Shamrock and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shamrock's face. Shamrock staggers backwards, shaken. Pierno has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Pierno misses with an uppercut
letting Shamrock counter with a right hand. Tim Pierno is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pierno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shamrock.
Bobby Shamrock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pierno swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand. Shamrock staying out of range there. Despite the aggression on Shamrock's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Pierno misses with a hook to the body
and Shamrock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shamrock throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pierno counters with a left and a right that stings Shamrock. Pierno throws a right hand that misses
and Shamrock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shamrock has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Shamrock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Shamrock lands a stunning uppercut that sends Pierno to the mat!
Pierno is rocked!
It looks like Tim Pierno has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shamrock throwing shots but Pierno is blocking nicely. Oh Pierno is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pierno is trying to control but can't.

and Shamrock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pierno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pierno throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Shamrock tries to counter with a clinch but Pierno shakes him off and moves away. Pierno misses with a series of wild punches.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tim Pierno. Well Pierno has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
