The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikolaev avoids the body shot from Ramos .
A looping hook to the body misses from Ramos . Nikolaev does a little dance to reset his feet.

Nikolaev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ramos .
Nikolaev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ramos was well out of range. Poor timing from Nikolaev.
Ramos moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Ramos looks to land a right hand but Nikolaev moved out of range.

We've been hearing reports that Ramos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Ramos has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nikolaev clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Nikolaev wants to hold on but Ramos pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramos tries to control but Nikolaev wriggling away.

Nikolaev sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Nikolaev has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ramos . Oh but Nikolaev has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ramos goes limp - he's gone! Nikolaev jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
