Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blind Shaman (ranked 352 p4p, 49 weight class) and Musta Laine (ranked 185 p4p, 28 weight class). Shaman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shaman's Dream. Laine has chosen Disturbed - Sound of Silence as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blind Shaman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Musta Laine! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaman catches Laine with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Laine moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Shaman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Laine fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Laine defending well as Shaman loads up on a big left hand. Shaman lands the left hand. A solid leg kick lands there for Laine.
Shaman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Laine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Shaman avoids the head kick by Laine.
Shaman gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Laine. Shaman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Laine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Laine misses with a body shot.
Shaman throws a body punch but Laine moves out of range. Laine thuds his shin into the meat of Shaman's side. Laine scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Shaman lands a glancing blow to the side of Laine's head. Shaman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
As Shaman backs off Laine throws a huge counter combo but Shaman manages to avoid it all. Laine scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shaman doesn't seem bothered though. Shaman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine throws out a loose jab but Shaman uses good head movement to avoid it. Shaman lands a nice shot to the body.
Shaman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Laine feints a jab promting Shaman to slip. Laine then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shaman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Shaman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laine. Laine walks into a stiff left hand from Shaman. Laine avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Laine works Shaman's body with a nice hook. Laine throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shaman counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shaman takes a swing at Laine's ribcage but misses. Nice uppercut there from Laine. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaman cracks the inside of Laine's front leg. Shaman on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Musta Laine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laine thumps Shaman with a low kick. Laine throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Shaman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Laine has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Laine staying out of range there. Laine now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaman is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Laine tests Shaman's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shaman misses with a hook. Shaman thumps Laine with a low kick. A lazy left from Laine finds it's target. Shaman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laine to the mat! Laine manages to get full guard. Shaman trying to control the position from guard on top but Laine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shaman is really struggling to control Laine but he's trying to hold on to the position. Laine throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Shaman throws a big elbow that misses. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Laine is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shaman trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laine postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Laine avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Shaman working for a triangle but Laine defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Laine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Laine wants to control from the top but Shaman keeps moving. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Laine's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Shaman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laine's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Musta Laine will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Laine takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Musta Laine seems to be getting the better of the standup. Laine motions for Shaman to come forward. Laine throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Shaman needs to keep his hands up - Laine had a free shot at his head there. Laine misses with a wild body shot. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shaman checks a leg kick. Shaman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Laine avoids the body shot from Shaman.
Shaman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Laine lands the left hand. Shaman throws a body shot but no joy. Laine slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Laine tries a low kick but Shaman avoids it. Shaman moves out of range of the body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaman misses with a hook. Laine defending well as Shaman loads up on a big left hand. Shaman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laine throws out the jab. Laine ducks under a wild hook from Shaman. A looping hook to the body misses from Laine. Shaman does a little dance to reset his feet. Laine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shaman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine scores with a punch to the head. Laine misses with a looping right. Nice defenses there by Shaman. Laine looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A little feinted left hand from Shaman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Shaman connects with a leg kick. Laine looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Laine misses with a low kick. Shaman was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Shaman lands a right hook to the body.

Laine looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Laine avoids a kick to the body.
Laine misses with a low kick. Shaman throws a lazy right hand but Laine sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Laine tries to score with a low kick but Shaman moves his leg out of the way. Laine swings for the body but Shaman moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Laine lands a really nice looking cross but Shaman seems unphased.
Shaman needs to keep his hands up - Laine had a free shot at his head there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Nice straight punches there by Laine. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Laine. Shaman looks to land a left hand but Laine moved out of range nicely. Laine misses the body punch and Shaman counters with a leg kick. Shaman tried to score with a low kick but Laine checks it. Laine looks like he wants to counter punch here. Laine ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shaman throws a nice inside leg kick. Shaman misses the shot to the body. Laine connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shaman momentarily.

and Shaman counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laine is looking for a sweep. Shaman misses with the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Laine is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here as Shaman stalls from top position. Laine avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Shaman. Laine is looking to regain half guard here but Shaman keeps moving and retains side control. Laine is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Blind Shaman will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Shaman moves out of range of the strikes. Shaman throws a looping overhand right but Laine ducks down to avoid it. A kick lands to the mid section there for Laine. Shaman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laine looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Shaman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Shaman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Laine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Shaman's guard! Nice work there by Laine! Shaman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Laine is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Shaman. Shaman defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine working the ground and pound. Laine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shaman keeps working. Laine landing strikes. Laine grinds an elbow into Shaman's temple. Laine scores with punches from side control. Laine wants to control but Shaman is keeping him busy. Shaman can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laine tries to advance to mount but can't. Shaman is trying to get back to half guard. Shaman is trying to control Laine's posture but Laine avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shaman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Laine lands a nice forearm strike. Shaman tries to bench press Laine off him but Laine keeps the position. Laine working away. Laine grinds an elbow into Shaman's temple. Shaman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Laine slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Laine wants to sweep here but Shaman controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaman controlling from the top position. Shaman trying to control but Laine is working from the bottom. Shaman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Laine is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Laine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Laine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shaman defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shaman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Musta Laine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Laine has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
