Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Putin (ranked 5007 p4p, 431 weight class) and Tanishi Toshiyuki (ranked 9518 p4p, 597 weight class). Toshiyuki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fuck you. This should be a great matchup!

7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tanishi Toshiyuki! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Putin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Putin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Toshiyuki attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Putin is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Toshiyuki. Putin looks to land a right hand but Toshiyuki moved out of range. Putin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Toshiyuki. Toshiyuki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Putin to the ground. Toshiyuki is now in Putin's guard. Putin manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Toshiyuki tries a knee to the head but Putin blocks it.

Toshiyuki tries to score a body lock takedown but Putin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Toshiyuki scores with a shot to the side of Putin's head. Toshiyuki lands a knee to the head.

Dmitry Putin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tanishi Toshiyuki. Toshiyuki turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Toshiyuki creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Putin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Toshiyuki.
