Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Stobbart (ranked 9198 p4p, 754 weight class) and David Prior (ranked 23148 p4p, 791 weight class). David Prior acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, George Stobbart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Prior!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stobbart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Prior looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stobbart with the ground and pound but Prior regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Prior trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Stobbart manages to pass to mount!
Stobbart throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Stobbart misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Stobbart throwing strikes here but Prior is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Stobbart breaks from Prior's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Prior wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Stobbart.

Prior is still trying to improve position.
Prior sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Prior is refusing to be controlled, as Stobbart sits in half guard.
Stobbart content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Stobbart looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stobbart throws a strike but Prior rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Prior trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Prior sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stobbart's guard.
Prior seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stobbart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Stobbart is trying to maintain the position but Prior is very close to passing his half guard.

Prior is working for an americana but Stobbart has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Prior was thinking about the submission.
Prior works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stobbart trying to get back to full guard but Prior takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Stobbart keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Stobbart throwing hammer fists to the chest of Prior. What's that going to do exactly?
Stobbart tries to control Prior's body but Prior pushes him off. Stobbart squirms to his side and now Prior has his back!
I really don't envy Stobbart right now.
Stobbart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stobbart rolls, trying to escape but Prior keeps control of the position.

Stobbart has hold of Prior's leg, trying to break free but it's let Prior lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Stobbart is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Prior throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
