Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Kelly (ranked 257 p4p, 38 weight class) and Demon Maia (ranked 780 p4p, 115 weight class). Maia has chosen Shittin' on the world - Dr. Dre ft. Mel man as his entrance music. Demon Maia is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerry Kelly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Demon Maia! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maia misses with a hook. Kelly ducked under it nicely. Kelly appears to be looking for a big counter. Maia misses with a head kick.
Kelly rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maia counters with a good low kick that Kelly was not able to check. Kelly throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Maia lands a nice shot that snaps Kelly's head back.

Maia lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maia looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range. Gerry Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kelly walks into a left hand. Maia misses with an attempted mid kick.
Maia tries to land a front kick but Kelly steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kelly moves out of range as Maia throws a body kick.
Maia throws a push kick but Kelly slaps the foot to one side. Maia throws a half hearted mid kick. It looked like Kelly wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Maia ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And Maia responds with a good body kick, but Kelly manages to step out the way in time. This has been an exciting period of action! Kelly avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kelly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Maia. Maia pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Maia tries to land a front kick but Kelly steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. It looked like Kelly wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Kelly catches Maia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Maia checks a leg kick. Kelly misses with an uppercut
and Maia counters with a nice uppercut. Maia looks to land a combination but Kelly avoids it well. Kelly fires out a quick counter leg kick but Maia just manages to avoid it. Kelly moves forwards but Maia connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kelly cracks Maia with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Maia scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Kelly moves forwards but Maia connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kelly throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maia counters with a solid body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kelly plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Kelly slips under a jab. An attempted straight right counter from Kelly misses the target. Maia misses with a body kick. Kelly misses with a head kick.
Maia throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Maia looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range. Maia steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kelly. Kelly throws a body punch but Maia moves out of range. Maia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Maia misses with a straight left. Maia is looking to land body kicks. Kelly looks to throw the jab but Maia is out of range. Kelly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maia. Kelly lands a jab. Maia misses with a low kick. Kelly is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Maia tries a quick counter leg kick but Kelly is wise to it. Kelly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maia. A jab from Maia finds it's way through Kelly's defenses. Maia throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kelly tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly misses with an uppercut. Maia saw that one coming. Maia misses with an uppercut. Kelly throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kelly lands a jab to Maia's midsection. Maia is looking to chop away at Kelly's legs. An inside leg kick lands from Kelly. Kelly misses with a right hand and Maia counters with a body kick. A slow jab from Kelly misses its intended target. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Maia - that will leave a mark!

Maia listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kelly moves out of range of the body kick from Maia.
Kelly throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice shot by Maia. Maia slips under a jab. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Maia! But no joy. Maia pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kelly blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maia looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maia was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly. Maia throws out a counter right but Kelly avoids it with no problem. Maia is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kelly had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Kelly throws a hook to the side of Maia's head but Maia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kelly needs to keep his hands up - Maia had a free shot at his head there. Maia connects with the punch. Maia attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A counter left hand to the body from Kelly misses its target. Kelly looks to land a body kick but Maia moved away. Maia is trying to counter with his kicks. Maia cracks Kelly with an open hand slap. Kelly checks a leg kick nicely. Maia blocks a head kick by Kelly.
Maia takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kelly with a hook. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A head kick misses from Maia. Kelly seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kelly avoids the head kick by Maia.
Kelly went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. An inside leg kick lands from Maia. Maia does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demon Maia dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kelly sends Maia crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kelly is motioning to the referee to let Maia up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Demon Maia has been cut. Maia throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Maia throws a head kick that misses and Kelly counters with a huge head kick that drops Maia! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerry Kelly! Gerry Kelly retains his light heavyweight title! Gerry Kelly thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, Demon Maia stepped up to the mic, saying 'The first fight a lot of people felt I got robbed on...myself included. I had the chance to redeem myself and get the belt back but I fell short so not much more for me to say than It is what it is and congratulations to the champ '.
