The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens throws a right and a left that both miss. Billy Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walsh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stevens. Walsh scores a takedown into full mount! Stevens is working to get back to half guard.
Walsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stevens is working hard here to advance position. Walsh landing strikes from the mount.
